Lashon Burrell
Founder & Executive Chef
Lashon Burrell is the Founder and Executive Chef of Cajun Cafe Chicago, a culinary venture that celebrates the flavors and traditions of Southern Cuisine. Lashon's journey in the culinary world began in 2009 when she relocated to East St. Louis to Chicago to pursue her passion for cooking and attended culinary school.
After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts in 2012, Lashon continued expanding her skills and knowledge by working in various roles within the industry. Alongside her work, she relentlessly pursued her education and obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
In 2020, Lashon decided to launch her business with an intimate dining experience. Chef Lashon was able to build connections and network with various clients through food and culture. This allowed her to manage and carve a niche for herself in the industry which led her to establish Cajun Cafe Chicago in 2022.
